Our client, a national charity working with public health, is looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraiser who will be a superstar in bid & report writing and is able to build sustainable relationships for funding from corporate organizations.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Corporate Fundraiser working on funding for an established, but expanding charity based near Southampton. The company is based in central Totton, and there is the opportunity to work up to two days from home (hybrid). Expenses for events and travel, free parking, and a pension are included.
The Senior Corporate Fundraiser is part of the fundraising and communications team, reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Communications.
The role of Senior Corporate Fundraiser
1. Proactively seeking new corporate partners to drive income and support for the charity's work from both within and outside the sector.
2. Managing a portfolio of existing corporate relationships and developing connections to strengthen these.
3. Researching and applying for new CSR and Charity of the Year corporate initiatives in line with charitable objectives.
4. Leading on the corporate events fundraising programme.
5. Attending networking events, speaking engagements, and being an ambassador for the charity in the corporate world.
6. Hosting corporate visitors at clinics and projects.
7. Writing persuasive proposals and preparing reports for corporate funders to demonstrate the impact of their support.
8. Playing a key role in the fundraising team - contributing ideas and supporting colleagues through fundraising activities.
9. Maintaining accurate donor records on Salesforce.
10. Ensuring that all donors receive timely thanks, updates, and communications.
About You
1. You'll have at least two years' experience in Corporate Fundraising roles.
2. A proactive and dynamic approach with the confidence to seek out new opportunities and develop these into meaningful relationships.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. A positive attitude that turns ideas into reality.
5. The empathy to understand the challenges our patients face and the skills to turn this into a compelling case for support.
6. An excellent team player.
7. Be willing to travel as required.
8. Due to the nature of the role, you will need a current driving license with your own transport as some travel within the UK will be required. There may also be an occasional requirement to work evenings and/or weekends. Flexibility is key.
