Primary Care Doncaster Ltd is developing a wide range of services to support general practice across the city and is looking at innovative ways to develop its workforce.
We are recruiting newly qualified general practitioners (GP) who are still within their first two years of completing their certificate of completion of training (CCT) to join our team.
This role will be working in the South Primary Care Network (PCN).
This is an exciting opportunity in which you will gain experience and make a real impact. This role is pivotal to improving the quality of care and operational efficiencies, so it requires motivation and passion to deliver excellent service within the practices and PCNs.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate should be a newly qualified GP within the first two years of completing their certificate of completion of training (CCT), have full GMC registration, and be included on the NHS England GP Performers List as a GP Performer.
We are looking for a motivated GP to undertake a variety of duties including face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, telephone triage, duty doctor, path labs, prescriptions, and queries on a day-to-day basis.
The post-holder will be expected to undertake all normal duties, making professional and autonomous decisions and all responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
There is scope for further development in terms of lead roles, specialty interests, and support in progression.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS and PCN DES contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Experience
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree
* Qualified GP MRCGP – general practitioner certificate of completion of training (CCT) (within first 2 years of qualification)
* Full GMC registration
* Worked in General Practice
* Understanding of Patient Demand in deprived areas
* Understanding of Clinical Governance and quality issues
* Understanding of the role of teamwork in providing quality services
* To understand the patient’s perspective in developing and delivering quality services
Skills and Competencies
* Ability to analyse and interpret information
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills
* Clear communicator with good writing skills
