Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated radiographer to become the imaging lead at South Bristol Community Hospital, Bristol. This post is remote from the main site and therefore requires an individual who is comfortable with autonomous decision making, taking responsibility and has excellent communication and organisational skills. They will be working in partnership with other plain imaging leads across the Trust to provide a high quality plain imaging service and support the staff working within it. Main duties of the job To provide first line operational and managerial responsibility for the imaging department at South Bristol Community Hospital in partnership with the Bristol Royal Infirmary based Elective Imaging Lead. To work in conjunction with other UHBW Plain Imaging Lead Radiographers, sharing resources, rostering staff and managing patient flow. To provide a high quality and safety focused service for users, implementing and overseeing maintenance for the quality and governance of plain imaging, providing high level clinical input. To assist the Section Head with staff management including staff recruitment, appraisals, sickness management and assisting in the monitoring of performance with regards to conduct, technique and quality. To support the UHBW plain imaging services as required and be prepared to work flexibly. To demonstrate a high level of clinical skill, producing high quality images and being a clinical role model. To assist with the teaching, learning and the support structure for all types of trainees and learners, working with the Practice Educators to achieve a productive learning environment.
