The Emergency Department at NNUH is seeking to recruit highly dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Health Care Assistants. The NNUH hosts the busiest Emergency Department in the East of England, seeing over 140,000 patients every year.
This role is key in continuing our #JourneytoOutstanding and ensuring that patients are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for an individual with excellent communication skills who is capable of providing the highest possible standard of patient care.
You’ll work within a varied Multi-disciplinary Team, playing a vital part in ensuring a safe, timely and effective patient experience.

Responsibilities include:
1. Providing overall nursing leadership and management of the ED department during your duty period.
2. Ensuring a high standard of research-based nursing practice and delivering patient care.
3. Acting as a clinical specialist, giving advice to other ward areas and outside agencies as required.
4. Promoting and implementing ED competencies and standards set by nursing and midwifery professional bodies.
5. Participating in the teaching programme of the department.
