We are looking for a highly technical Senior AV Engineer with experience in programming looking to shape their career and grow with a company within this evolving industry.
The role will be a combination of installation, programming and team management of junior staff whilst on site. You should enjoy working on client sites and be able to build good relationships with clients and other trades. Working closely with our project managers, you will be a lead engineer on site acting as a point of contact.
Attention to detail is paramount and we do expect the individual to take pride in their work and conduct themselves respectfully and to the highest professional standard on customer sites.
The job will require you to have key experience in:
1. Good practical skills and an understanding of construction techniques.
2. Understanding and interpretation of wiring designs and schematic drawings.
3. Reasonable IT knowledge.
4. An advantage would be CEDIA or AVIXA certification.
5. Rack building and commissioning.
6. Installation of AV equipment and home automation products.
7. Full capability with power tools imperative; SDS drills and fixings.
Working knowledge of all or some of the following:
1. Control4 Programming.
2. Lighting Control Programming - Lutron, Control4, KNX, Rako.
3. Satellite and TV distribution systems.
A full Driving Licence is required and a flexibility to travel to any client site is essential.
When not on site, your main working location will be the offices at Kings Langley. Whilst the official office working hours are 8am-4.30pm, we will expect a level of flexibility dependent on the project. We would not expect you to leave a site until a reasonable level of job completion has been attained. We also require you to manage your travelling time to ensure that you are on site at the agreed time.
There is always flexibility in the role, with times when you are required to work late and times when you can leave earlier. This will be agreed on a job by job basis. There may also be a need to stay away on some occasions, but we aim to keep this to a minimum.
