This high-profile role will be responsible for all phases of procurement from supplier identification to ongoing supplier performance management, thereby ensuring a high-quality service to internal stakeholders. The Role & Responsibilities Support and lead the implementation of the procurement strategy Champion best practise and compliance internally and externally Lead and manage procurement projects, working with cross-functional teams to ensure success in a timely fashion and within budget Lead sourcing activities, draft tenders, select new suppliers, and implement agreements smoothly Analyse and validate contracts and agreements and communicate appropriately with Legal Department for full approval. Make periodic visits to suppliers, perform risk assessments, onsite surveys, periodic supplier performance reviews, supplier development plans. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels. Provide guidance, find cost-saving opportunities, and add value to our procurement processes. Manage Inventory alongside retail leaders on a Global basis ensuring continuous supply whilst balancing costs Support and manage a small team consisting of a Senior Buyer (UK based) and a Procurement Admin (US based). Set annual performance plans and 1:1’s. Manage the Vendor Set up process, maintaining a Key Supplier database Ensure accurate and timely raising of orders and invoices. Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and Health & Safety across procurement. Convert general data and findings into applied uses, specific information and suggestions that add value to business planning. The Person Extensive experience in senior procurement leadership. CIPS qualified, working towards or qualified in a similar certification Experience in a technical procurement background would be an advantage but not essential Experience of managing projects to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria). Demonstrates ability to build a high-performance culture within the team. Strong and convincing communication and presentation skills. Ability to zoom in and out of the detail of multiple projects and identify areas of focus and priority. Demonstrates an entrepreneurial edge who can adapt to change and use initiative. Knowledge of relevant procurement regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical practices. Financial acumen to analyse costs, budgets, and financial implications of procurement decisions. Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills - written and oral to deal with a wide range of customers and stakeholder levels - both internal and external Ability to work independently with a high level of self-motivation. A good sense of urgency and adaptability under pressure.
