Band 4 Medical Secretary 37.5hrs per week working with the Women's & Children's (Gynaecology) Secretaries.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Women's' & Children's' administration team, the service aims to provide a high quality, locally delivered, patient focussed service.
This role will be crucial to the efficient day to day delivery of the service.
We are looking for a competent and professional Medical Secretary to be based at the Whitehaven Hospital working with the Gynaecology Secretaries. This is a permanent position.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be the first point of contact for our patients, therefore, a professional, patient focused approach is key at all times. You will provide a high standard of administration support to the clinical team, liaising with other departments, patients, NHS Trusts and external agencies.
Minimum Requirements
You should be educated to GCSE (minimum C Grade) standard, be trained to RSA level 3 standard and/or an NVQ level 3 in Administration and/or have the equivalent experience, preferably having a medical administration background.
We are looking for someone with a pleasant, adaptable disposition who can remain calm under pressure and deal with a busy workload efficiently and effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as well as a positive approach to working in a team.
