RMN Deputy Ward Manager required.
Set within a safe and therapeutic environment, this is a 32 bedded locked service, supporting two different service user groups:
* Ward 1 focuses upon the active rehabilitation of men with mental health issues. The emphasis is upon stabilising mental health, reducing risks and enhancing independent living skills, with a view to reintegration into the community. This is a 16 bed ward.
* Ward 2 supports men with dementia, and behaviours that challenge. This is also a 16 bed ward. Providing quality, inspiring innovation and delivering value is what we set out to achieve. Enabling our patients to receive a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment and care, regardless of complexity or severity, thanks to the knowledge and expertise of our multidisciplinary clinical teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to join an established team caring for two groups of patients with Neurodegenerative disorder and Mental illnesses requiring rehabilitation. You will work closely with other members of the MDT and be supported by the site Consultant Psychiatrist.
The post holder will provide day-to-day nursing input on the wards and will receive clinical supervision and support in professional development and CPD.
The above role will be primarily focused around the effective delivery of clinical care and working towards improving standards within the clinical areas of the service on Ward 2.
The role of the Deputy Ward Manager is to provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager. They will have clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall. They will have defined delegated responsibilities from the Ward Manager.
Our nurses play a vital leadership role on the ward - coordinating our efforts, maintaining quality standards, responding creatively to new challenges and ensuring that our patients received the best possible care at all times. You will work as an integral and respected member of the wider medical care team, and your ideas and experience will help us develop best practice and enhance the quality of our patient care.
