We're seeking an experienced PBS Practitioner to join our team!
In this dynamic role, you'll work collaboratively within a supportive team to provide high-quality support for adults and young people with complex needs. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of PBS interventions that enhance the quality of life for each individual. This role requires resilience, a deep understanding of complex behaviours and a commitment to person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to comprehensive functional behavioural assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
* Develop, implement, and monitor individualised PBS plans in collaboration with individuals, families, and support staff.
* Provide ongoing coaching, training, and guidance to support staff teams in the effective application of PBS approaches.
* Deliver high-quality training on PBS, Active Support, and Person-Centered approaches.
* Collaborate effectively with individuals, families, staff, and external professionals to promote person-centred care and ensure the best possible outcomes.
* Actively participate in clinical supervision and support the development of practice leadership within services.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation in line with organizational policies, best practices, and legal requirements.
* Based in Altrincham with required travel across the North West.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Possesses specialized training in Positive Behaviour Support (e.g., PBS BTEC Level 4 or equivalent).
* A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
* Exhibits excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
* Has the ability to translate often complex behavioural theories into effective and easily understood support strategies.
* Is passionate about reducing the use of restrictive practices and promoting positive behavioural support approaches.
* Possesses a strong understanding of relevant legislation, best practices, and ethical guidelines.
* Based in Altrincham with flexibility and a willingness to travel as required.
* Driver’s licence and access to a car are essential for the job.
