We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team in Chelmsford. Ideally, the candidate will have a background in the hospitality sector, preferably with laundry, linen, or workwear rental experience.
Personal attributes:
* A proven high calibre customer service professional with demonstrable experience within UK laundry.
* A demonstrable record of success in customer retention.
* Personal drive and motivation to succeed.
* Experience within a regional service role, proven ability to work unaccompanied within a dedicated territory.
* Lead and coordinate contract renewal negotiations to a successful close.
* Ensure that measurable retention & sales pipeline plans are established, maintained, and executed.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Proven ability to set high personal goals and then demonstrate the ability to exceed them.
* Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information in a concise and open manner.
Primary responsibilities and accountability:
* Manage a portfolio of clients, developing long-term mutually beneficial relationships.
* Act as lead point of contact for all matters relating to the needs of the client and company.
* Proactive approach to account management.
* Provide consultative staff training with clients to promote continuous development with the clients’ service from ECL.
* Provide a measured approach to stock management, stock checks, misused linen & identifying stock losses, to protect the company’s assets and raising charges where appropriate.
* Seek continuous improvement in the effectiveness, efficiency, and cost of the customers’ service.
* Improve the profitability of existing clients in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
* Highlight opportunities and threats to the Sales/Service Manager and/or other appropriate Managers.
* Renew customer contracts in line with Company policies and procedures.
* Undertake regular customer satisfaction surveys and provide results to Management.
* Ensure paperwork is correctly completed and submitted on time in accordance with client, the company, and within the company timelines.
* Excellent diary management must be maintained for effective use of time within your area and to reduce driving time where possible.
Secondary responsibilities and accountability:
* Complaints handling.
* Complete Customer Visit Reports with corrective action plans and follow up to conclusion.
* Lead & manage any customer terminations and follow up to conclusion.
* Communicate your KPI’s monthly.
* Understand and promote quality standards.
* Forward planning to demonstrate efficient time management.
* To carry out other reasonable tasks within the business when required by your line manager.
