Role OverviewMain Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect and test 3D printers to identify issues.
Use technical knowledge to diagnose problems related to hardware, software, mechanical components, or user error.
Communicate with customer service to explain specific problem-solving solutions clearly and concisely.
Perform necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments to 3D printers.
Calibrate and fine-tune printers to achieve optimal performance.
Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks and repairs performed.
Verify that prints meet quality standards.
Offer recommendations for printers, printer upgrades, and modifications based on customers’ needs. This advice will be relayed to customer service, who will then contact the customer.
Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, including parts used, procedures followed, and time spent.
Create user-friendly guides for common troubleshooting steps.
Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in 3D printing.
Attend exhibitions, workshops, and training sessions as needed.
About the RoleDo you like to tinker? Reporting to the 3D Technical Manager, this role involves hands-on problem-solving and maintenance of 3D printers in a workshop environment, including fault-finding and warranty repairs. The role also includes communicating directly with customer service to help solve problems remotely and provide advice. Over time, you will often be helping to educate customers at various stages of their 3D printing journey.
While 3D printing experience would be an advantage, training will be provided. We welcome applications from individuals with experience in similar sectors or hobbies (such as building PCs or drones, mechanics, remote control, etc.) who are competent with hand tools, computer literate, and have a basic understanding of electronics.
The role is based onsite at our Winsford Warehouse.

Knowledge of CAD software and slicers (e.g., Cura, PrusaSlicer and Orca).
A proven background in working with mechanical/electrical items in a repair type environment
