Crest Nicholson's Eastern division are now looking for a Technical Coordinator to join the Technical team, based in Brentwood, Essex. This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technician with the potential to grow and develop into a longer term career with Crest Nicholson.
Key elements of the role to include:
1. Support the Technical Management team with technical appraisals, where abnormal costings of potential development land are provided within required timescales.
2. Provide cost effective options in physically developing the land where recommended.
3. Ensure, where requested, that the site can be properly serviced and constructed upon.
4. Support strategic land acquisitions and planning appeals including strategic technical studies, negotiating with statutory Authorities, instructing Consultants and obtaining/vetting their reports.
5. Liaise with statutory authorities with documentation and drawings relevant to the contracts and sites.
6. Prepare detailed Design programmes, including the management of the production information to ensure the company meets its business objectives.
7. Assist with Technical and Services budgets.
8. Feedback all technical design matters encountered during construction to the Technical Managers.
9. Maintain a general awareness of current material and construction research and make recommendations or give warnings as appropriate.
10. Undertake adequate CPD to maintain Professional Status where appropriate and to be aware of industry changes and developments.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Engineering Technical experience, either from an Architectural Consultancy or Developer background.
2. Previous experience within the House Building or Construction sector.
3. Degree educated in relevant disciplines, such as Architecture, Design, Planning, Civil Engineering or the Built Environment.
4. Excellent attention to detail.
5. Experience in dealing with highly complex technical drawings and plans.
6. Able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners.
7. Building Regulations and NHBC standards knowledge.
8. Strong IT skills.
