Job summary
Facilities Domestic Assistant - hours per week - 3 Week rolling rota, 1 weekends out of 3
Undertake a range of cleaning duties within the Hospital Premises, cleaning to a very high standard
Cleaning consultant and clinical areas as well as offices.
Main duties of the job
1. Collect linen stores as required.
2. Comply with infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
3. Comply with responsibility to safeguard children and vulnerable
4. Vacuum carpets, ensuring cleanliness.
5. Carry out damp dusting of furniture and fittings and at high and low levels.
6. Mop floor areas and maintain floors using electrical equipment when necessary.
7. Check electrical equipment is in good condition and currently PAT tested.
8. Clean toilets, baths and washbasins.
9. Empty all bins and dispose of waste appropriately, ensuring waste management regulations are followed.
10. Clean equipment after use.
11. Assist with ward or departmental duties as appropriate.
12. Undertake first wipe cleaning of bodily fluids as required
13. Guard against the potential risk associated with needle stick injuries, especially in toilet areas.
14. Wear uniform and protective clothing provided, as instructed.
15. Make beds as requested.
16. Adults, ensuring attendance at appropriate training
