2nd / 3rd line Technical Support, Charity c£38k DOE
A fantastic opportunity for an experienced 2nd / 3rd line Technical Support Engineer / Analyst to take on this important role within this global charity to further their work in the global community. The Technical Support Specialist is part of their Hardware and Systems Team, and the role involves the provision of systems support on a range of their IT systems. This role supports the full range of Technology Support Desk duties, and the successful candidate will be one of the first points of contact for all internal staff. Your main duties will be responding to calls, recording and resolving issues and, where appropriate, allocating tasks to other team members; and maintaining the charity’s hardware and software. You will also provide technical guidance to other Technology Support Desk staff members. You will be joining the organisation at a very exciting time, when they are moving from a hybrid technical infrastructure to a fully Microsoft 365 cloud infrastructure. You will be working closely with the Infrastructure Engineer working on the projects involved with this.
You can demonstrate proven experience working within an IT help desk environment and experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Online (365) and Exchange Online Management modules. Ideally you will have experience of migrating a business from on-premise to Office 365 services or similar experience of successfully delivering technical projects. Experience of supporting and administering Office 365 services, replacing and troubleshooting computer hardware components, supporting and maintaining a range of peripheral devices and demonstrable experience of working within a project team.
Essential skills and knowledge include:
* Office 365 E5 full stack (Including SharePoint, Teams, Office, OneDrive, Exchange Online) technical support and administration
* Proven experience in supporting and administrating SharePoint Online
* Proven experience in supporting and administrating Microsoft EndPoint Manager and Intune (or similar)
* Proven experience in administration of Azure, such as creating virtual machines, scale sets and virtual networks
* Knowledge of and supporting devices in Microsoft Defender 365
* Supporting Mac OS and Windows 10/11 devices in a business environment
* Technical support and configuration of Apple iOS and Android devices
* Strong knowledge of networking principles and diagnostics
* Administration of Network Services, such as Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
* Administering and supporting Microsoft Exchange
* Administering and supporting Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD
The role is a hybrid remote working / office-based with the ability to visit their offices in the Thames Valley (minimum 2 days a week) and offers a salary up to £38,000 + a great benefits package (may be some flexibility).
