HSE Manager - Construction

About the Role
Are you an experienced HSE Manager looking for a new challenge in the construction industry? Do you have a passion for driving safety culture, ensuring compliance, and conducting audits across multiple sites? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading facades & cladding contractor, committed to the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance. As an HSE Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring best practices, maintaining accreditations, leading audits, and promoting a positive HSE culture across the company's UK-wide operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop & implement HSE policies to ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, ISO 9001/14001, RIDDOR, and PAS 2030/2035.
2. Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits across multiple UK sites.
3. Lead incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
4. Manage company accreditations (CHAS, Safe Contractor, etc.).
5. Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness programmes to employees and contractors.
6. Liaise with regulatory bodies, site managers, and external stakeholders to ensure best practices.
What We're Looking For
1. Proven experience as an HSE Manager, SHEQ Manager, or Health & Safety Lead in the construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge of HSE law, risk assessments, method statements, audits, and compliance.
3. Essential qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH, CSCS Card, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness.
4. Desirable qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma, HNC/Degree in Construction, PAS 2030 knowledge.
5. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
6. Willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays.
