SEN Teacher – Portsmouth
Prospero Teaching are working closely with an excellent independent school located in Portsmouth. The School are looking to appoint a dynamic and passionate teacher, to support their students with additional learning needs.
This is to start in September 2024, on a full-time basis.
The position will involve teaching English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students in their resourced provision.

About you:
1. You are an innovative, compassionate, and resilient educator with experience or a strong desire to work within SEMH.
2. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a trauma-informed environment, supporting students with additional needs including Dyslexia and ASD.
3. You will have teaching experience with an ability to engage and inspire students with additional learning needs.

Key Requirements:
8. SEN teaching experience.
9. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
10. Experience working with children with dyslexia is desirable.
11. A commitment to ongoing professional development in special education.
Role and Responsibilities:
12. Planning and delivering lessons in English and Maths to Key stage 3 pupils.
13. Implementing positive behaviour management strategies in line with the schools values and procedures.
14. Creating a positive, nurturing environment that motivates, engages, and inspires students.
