Fibre Installation Engineer Job Summary
As a Fibre Installation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that rural communities are connected to future-ready, hyper-fast, full-fibre broadband. Your primary responsibility will be the installation of overhead and underground fibre optic cables, customer termination boxes, and associated equipment, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Fibre Installation Engineer Responsibilities:
* Install overhead and underground fibre optic cables and associated customer equipment.
* Complete internal and external cabling works to connect customers the companies’ network.
* Collaborate with the Tech team to resolve customer connection issues.
* Ensure all cabling works meet customer requirements and are completed to a high standard.
* Survey works and advise on potential requirements for tree cutting, traffic management, and other obstacles.
* Capture necessary information and photos using company-supplied assets (e.g., phone or tablet).
* Complete daily job sheets, risk assessments, plant sheets, and van sheets.
* Follow health and safety requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and risk assessments.
* Assist with other reasonable duties as needed.
