Role: Senior Staff Nurse - Rehabilitation Ward
Location: The Wellington Hospital NW8 9TA
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Sunday
Salary: Competitive plus 9% shift allowance (dependent on skills & experience) + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)
The Rehabilitation team at The Wellington Hospital is looking for an experienced Senior Staff Nurse with a background in neuro and/or spinal rehabilitation experience within an inpatient setting.
This role is both exciting and challenging. The skills required are based on managing this specialist patient group while utilizing a strong evidence base.
The staff nurse will work with the Multidisciplinary Team to deliver high-quality and innovative nursing practice in line with HCA mission and vision and national guidelines and standards in both spinal and neuro rehabilitation.
They will actively support the nursing and therapy teams in delivering outstanding patient care relating to HCA mission and values.
What you’ll bring:
* Experience working in spinal and/or neuro rehabilitation: 2 years (required)
* Experience in the provision of staff education within neuro and spinal care (local level)
* Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A good command of both written and spoken English
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team within healthcare
* ILS provider course completed and qualification required upon hire, or within 3 months of hire
* Able to work flexible shift patterns including weekends and nights
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
* Experience working in the private sector
* Arabic speaking
* Evidence of external neurological/spinal courses
* Behavioural communication de-escalation skills
