To continue providing this outstanding service, were seeking a passionate and proactive Health and Wellbeing Officer to join our friendly Student Services.
As a Health and Wellbeing Officer, you will play an essential role in supporting students' personal development and wellbeing. Youll deliver engaging tutorials, facilitate one-to-one sessions, and lead group workshops on important health topics such as mental health, sexual health, healthy relationships, child sexual exploitation, substance misuse, and smoking cessation. Your sessions will be designed to reflect local, national, and global health trends, ensuring they remain relevant and impactful.
Working closely with the Health and Wellbeing team, youll contribute to the smooth running of the Health and Wellbeing Centre by managing tutorial bookings, providing duty cover, and coordinating student services. Youll also take the lead in planning and delivering student inductions, as well as organising college-wide events, including wellbeing weeks, awareness days, and health conferences.
Youll actively gather and analyse feedback to improve services and meet students' needs. Youll collaborate with internal teams and external organisations to develop fresh and engaging tutorial content, ensuring it aligns with best practices and emerging trends.
Youll also be an ambassador for the Health and Wellbeing Centre, promoting its services across the college and encouraging student participation. This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and passionate about making a difference in students lives.

About you
Were looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and compassionate individual who is committed to supporting young peoples wellbeing and making a positive impact on their lives. The ideal candidate will be someone who truly cares about helping students develop both personally and academically and is eager to contribute to their overall success.
You should have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage a busy, varied workload while working effectively as part of a team. Experience in delivering health and wellbeing services, especially with young people, is highly desirable.
We're seeking someone who is creative, adaptable, and excited to deliver engaging tutorials, workshops, and one-to-one support on key health topics such as mental health, sexual health, healthy relationships, substance misuse, and promoting healthy lifestyles. A good understanding of these areas will help you make a real difference in the lives of students.
You will be a proactive team player, with the ability to manage the day-to-day operations of the Health and Wellbeing Centre while always keeping the student experience at the heart of what you do. Youll also be confident in gathering and analysing feedback to ensure our services meet the ever-evolving needs of learners.

Required
GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
Educated to Level 3 or equivalent
Working with and supporting young people
Working in a health or wellbeing related field
Preferred
Teaching qualification or willing to work towards L3 in teaching and learning
Health based qualification
Experience of working in FE setting
Experience of delivering information to groups of young people / adults.
