We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse who is eager to learn and up for a challenge. The post holder will work as part of our clinical research delivery team predominantly at The Countess of Chester Hospital however travel to Ellesmere Port site may also be required as well as supporting our new Mobile Research Unit (MRU). As a valued member of the team you will be helping to change NHS treatments and patients' lives for the better. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all different types of NIHR Portfolio studies across a range of clinical specialties. This will initially be within acute and general medicine however not limited to, and offers a comprehensive introduction to clinical research nursing. Main duties of the job Be a registered nurse and have successfully completed a preceptorship programme. Have good time management skills. Be able to integrate with a number of teams in order to achieve set objectives. Have a basic awareness of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Research Governance. Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access etc) Be willing to work flexibly in terms of hours and duties to meet service needs (i.e. to ensure safe recruitment into trials and to meet study patient care requirements). It's possible that this will include some out of hours working.
