About the Role: The postholder will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of adult social care in Cheshire West and Chester where you will be responsible for: Outcomes-based Commissioning – developing and implementing commissioning projects from inception to mobilisation that addresses the needs of older adults, focusing on prevention, early intervention, and community-led support. Market Shaping – working with a diverse range of providers to develop sustainable and high-quality care and support that delivers person-centred services. Performance Management – monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of commissioned services, ensuring value for money and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement – building strong and lasting relationships with service users, carers, providers, and other key stakeholders. Data Analysis – utilising data and intelligence to inform commissioning decisions and identify areas for improvement. About You: You will have a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the public sector, in particular older adults. You will possess significant experience in commissioning within a Social Care or Health environment. You will have excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will be able to analyse data and use it to inform effective decision-making. You will be committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. You will have a degree level or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience commensurate with this role within Social Care, Health, or related field. You will have experience of working within a political environment. You will have a flexible and personal resilience approach and the ability to confidently manage competing priorities. You must hold a valid driving license.
