Adecco's property services specialist division North is delighted to be partnering with a Yorkshire based housing provider in recruiting for 2 Temporary Site Managers to lead on their Planned maintenance projects.
Purpose
Postholder to be responsible for the day-to-day planning, organising and management of all elements of Technical Services Planned projects whilst on site, in full compliance with all applicable legislation; also comply with and remain up to date with the duties of the principal contractor under the CDM regulations, codes of practice, by-laws both current and future.
Duties
* Always promote the service in a manner consistent with the Customer Charter ensuring a high standard of customer care is always achieved.
* continually seek opportunities to introduce new working practices that generate efficiency.
* Ensure that all work is compliant with the organisation's approach to Diversity and Inclusion, data protection, human rights and confidentiality.
* maintain a high level of construction knowledge and changes to H & S legislation etc., to ensure the effective and safe delivery of a variety of construction projects.
* Leadership approach on site, delivering managerial approach on refurbishment and planned maintenance activities - roofing project
* be responsible for management and monitoring of the day-to-day performance of all schemes which are your responsibility both site and office based, identifying and offering solutions to senior managers for issues that arise that need to be rectified.
* Comply and advise on CDM and Health and Safety to ensure that safe working practices are always maintained.
* Budgeting and resource allocation, cost control and have a good approach in handling works, expenditure.
* Able to report and update higher management frequently to ensure smooth communication and transparency.
Candidate requirements
* minimum a qualification at Level 3 of the Regulated Qualification Framework in a relevant construction related field; NVQ/HNC/SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH or related to the construction and built environment.
* First Aid at work
* Strong understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and CDM Regulations with the ability to apply these to Technical Services projects - knowledge of incident reporting (RIDDOR) and standards of H&S on-site.
* Housing environment/client side - Site management experience, supervisory experience in property maintenance.
* Programme management - roofing projects
* able to deliver within set financial, programme, satisfaction and associated business
* Excellent customer service and tenant engagement
Pay and Benefits
* Rate: £30-£35/hour
* Min of 15 weeks project - possible extension
* Mileage pays- business purpose (TBC)
