Description and Requirements
This position is responsible for the Transition of services for new customers which encompass systems, process and delivery scope. The candidate is responsible for all tasks required to transition a new customer from the current mode of operation (CMO) to the contracted future service. This position is responsible for overall coordination and status reporting for the project. This individual must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in transition management and project management methodologies and tools.
What You will do:
1. Lead and/or assist in leading transition activities from contract signing to service delivery.
2. Work with internal, client and supplier subject matter experts to identify and prioritize risks, assumptions actions, issues and decisions.
3. Review project activities to confirm/validate time frame, quantify challenges and define limitations and corresponding risk mitigation tactics.
4. Create and manage project deliverables, milestones and required tasks per the schedule.
5. Prepare project status reports, keeping stakeholders of all levels informed of project status and related issues.
6. Coordinate and respond to requests for changes from the original specifications.
7. Partner with other functional areas to drive project activities and keep the team aware of customer issues, potential risks and resolving conflicts.
8. Follow established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
9. Build and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and external/internal customers.
What we expect from You:
1. Demonstrated experience acting as the liaison between business and IT stakeholders with communication skills to speak appropriately to both parties.
2. Experience in full life-cycle project development including requirements, design, development, testing and roll-out.
3. Demonstrated experience in analyzing a business issue and developing a future state recommendation.
4. Strong Project Management skills; expert in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from start through implementation.
5. Ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives.
6. Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, time management, and solution-oriented skills.
7. Highly developed skills in using MS Office Suite applications including Project, Visio, Excel.
8. Strong understanding of Transition Management principles, procedures and best practices.
9. 5-10 years of progressive broad-based information technology and business experience.
10. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus (Master’s degree highly desirable).
11. External project management certification such as Prince2, Six Sigma, CAPM/PMI or other project management certification is preferred.
