Primary Purpose of the Role:
To drive the evolution and deployment of Data and AI capabilities within the businesses and to our customers in order to increase growth in orders and increased customer satisfaction. As part of a newly established Software development and delivery team, the IVVQ engineer will work with both the development team and the end user in Thales UK businesses.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Perform module, program or unit testing of individual software components.
* Define step by step the integration tree consistent with the system release plan.
* Develop/deploy/maintain software that performs or supports test activities such as test management, test design, test execution and results checking.
* Provide investigative support of a staging or SIL environment with the help of software or hardware tools.
* Identify test equipment; standard or specialised and any special calibration requirements required at each Test Activity.
* Plan, estimate, monitor and control IVVQ activities.
* Identify the means required (enabling System) to validate the Solution, and then to define the operational scenario and the criteria of validation to objectively assess compliance of the Solution.
* Satisfy customer’s expectations.
* Prepare test campaigns, run the tests and analyse the results.
* Write and update the integration and verification test procedures documentation.
* Lead the demonstration to the end customer.
Skills
Technical:
* Solid understanding of Engineering Project Management Principles.
* Good knowledge of:
o Component testing
o Integration & Verification
o Test automation
o Test equipment
o Test Management
o Validation & Acceptance
* Familiarity with programming languages.
* Experience working on Linux or Windows based infrastructure.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Interpersonal Skills:
* Ability to work in complex multi-stakeholder environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
Essential:
* 3 to 5 years of experience in Test, Integration, Verification, Validation and Software Qualification.
* Recognised as a team player and enjoy collaborative work.
Desirable:
* Experience in AI technologies.
