We are seeking a visionary and inclusive Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) to lead our digital transformation journey across our national network of specialist mental health and social care services.
This is a pivotal leadership role that bridges clinical care and digital technology, ensuring we embed digital, data, and innovation into the heart of everything we do - from improving patient outcomes to streamlining operations.

Job Responsibilities
The CCIO will take responsibility for:
1. Providing strong clinical leadership in the strategic development, design, and implementation of digital, data, and technology to support better health and care, improved patient outcomes and experiences, and greater value and affordability.
2. Setting a clear vision for future ways of working, ensuring clinical workflows and digital capabilities are aligned with estate and service transformation.
3. Serving as a core member of key digital steering groups and boards, chairing as appropriate, and providing expert clinical guidance.
4. Leading the clinical design of the model of care, supporting service transformation and future-proofed delivery across our pathways.
5. Facilitating engagement with academic partners to leverage data for research and innovation.
6. Convening and supporting a broader group of clinical leaders to actively participate in digital transformation programmes.
7. Overseeing the strategic development, procurement, deployment, optimisation, and enhancement of clinical systems that underpin safe and effective care.
8. Ensuring clinicians are empowered to use data and digital tools to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
9. Operating and overseeing clinical safety assessments for all digital implementations and system changes.
10. Ensuring digital programmes strike the right balance between improving performance, reducing delays in patient pathways, enhancing quality of care, and maintaining robust data security and confidentiality.
11. Supporting deployment of digital systems across all clinical areas and taking on specific leadership responsibilities within key projects.
12. Delivering tangible benefits and performance metrics in line with business cases for technology investment.
13. Proactively addressing digital exclusion, recognising varied levels of digital literacy across stakeholders and tailoring engagement and communication accordingly.
14. Using excellent communication and relationship-building skills to maintain and improve Cygnet's reputation as an exemplar for digital services.
We are looking for someone who has...
1. Current professional registration (e.g. GMC, NMC, HCPC)
2. Evidence of continuous professional development, ideally including digital and informatics experience
3. Qualified Clinical Safety Officer (or willing to undergo training)
4. Proven experience of leading clinical digital transformation within a complex organisation
5. Track record of successful collaborative working across clinical professions
6. Demonstrated ability to lead service redesign through technology
7. Experience working across organisational boundaries, ideally within health and social care systems
8. Personal and professional credibility with the ability to engage and influence senior clinical and operational leaders
9. Strong, inclusive leadership style with a visible, values-led approach
10. Demonstrated ability to inspire, engage and unite teams around a shared digital vision
11. Expertise in shaping system-wide approaches to digital and clinical excellence
