A rare opportunity has arisen for a QC Section Leader to join one of the UK’s largest generic pharmaceutical companies.
Reporting to the QC Manager, the QC Section Leader will be expected to:
1. Manage the analytical testing of solid dose products using HPLC, GC, UV, and IR.
2. Lead a team of analysts and ensure that the release of products meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.
3. Ensure that all testing is carried out within the requirements of cGMP, ALCOA+, Health and Safety, and COSHH.
4. Critically review analytical data and approve products for further processing where specifications are met.
5. Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with industry regulation and company policies.
The successful candidate for the QC Section Leader role will have:
1. A BSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a relevant scientific degree, with significant experience in QC.
2. Experience in managing the workload of the QC solid dose team, including preparing weekly and daily work schedules.
3. Previous experience in leading OOS/OOT investigations and deviations is essential.
4. Previous experience in leading a team is preferred.
5. Experience in representing the QC group at internal, customer, and regulatory audits and liaising with the regulatory affairs department is essential.
6. Experience in leading the analytical method transfer, verification, and validation is preferred.
