3rd Line Support Engineer
5 days onsite – Police Security Clearance checks required
We are seeking an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer for a prestigious organisation in Kingston upon Thames. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on Software Support and Cloud Technologies, ensuring system reliability, security, and high-quality customer service.
Role Purpose
* Act as an escalation point for all reported software-related issues.
* Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
* Manage, monitor, and optimise Azure App Services, Blob Storage, and SQL Databases.
* Ensure seamless Azure cloud integration and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the escalation point for software support issues reported via email or phone.
* Log, track, and manage escalated software cases, ensuring timely resolution.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex software related issues.
* Escalate unresolved issues to engineering and development teams, providing full documentation.
* Maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring timely updates and compliance with SLAs.
* Act as an escalation contact for third-party suppliers (e.g., Microsoft).
* Support remote and on-site installation and upgrades of software systems.
* Monitor cloud-based systems, servers, and web apps to ensure uptime.
* Participate in out-of-hours support on a rotational basis.
Software & Cloud Management
* Azure App Service: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Azure-hosted applications.
* Azure Blob Storage: Integrate and manage secure, scalable storage solutions.
* SQL Database Management: Optimize queries and ensure seamless integration with Azure App Services.
* Azure Storage Integration: Work with Blob, Queue, and Table Storage for application data management.
* Networking & Security: Implement VNET integration, private endpoints, and secure communication between Azure resources.
Essential skills:
* Strong experience in third-line software/cloud support.
* Expertise in Azure App Service, Azure Blob Storage, and SQL Database Management.
* Azure Active Directory (AD) for identity and access management.
* Azure Entra for identity governance and compliance.
* Strong understanding of security, compliance, and enterprise integration.
* Hands-on experience managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
* Microsoft Certifications: AZ-900, AZ-104.
* Eligibility for police vetting (5 years of UK residency required).
Desirable skills
* Additional European language skills.
* Microsoft 305 Certification.
* Experience with load balancing for scalability and availability.
