What Are We Looking For?
We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Head of Programmes. This role is crucial in leading the management of both customer and internal development projects whilst serving as a key liaison between stakeholders and senior management. The ideal candidate will excel in managing bids and tenders across all lines of business, ensuring projects are delivered to approved schedules and budgets. This dynamic role combines project delivery excellence with bid management expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead as Bid Manager for customer opportunities, creating comprehensive quotation documents and fully costed project modules.
2. Prepare and present quotations and bid documents to senior management for review and approval.
3. Develop initial schedules with resource estimates, coordinating with functional heads for detailed planning.
4. Create and maintain detailed project plans, including task breakdown, schedules, and budgets.
5. Manage the smooth transition of projects from Sales to delivery, liaising across all business lines.
6. Request and coordinate internal and external resources to achieve project objectives.
7. Maintain project schedules in consultation with customers and internal teams.
8. Monitor progress against plans, managing any variances in revenue, profit, and scheduling.
9. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies in conjunction with stakeholders.
10. Collaborate with the financial controller to manage financial instruments and milestone invoicing.
11. Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders regarding project progress and changes.

1. An experienced project manager with a track record of successful project delivery.
2. Skilled in bid management and tender processes.
3. Expert in creating and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
4. Strong communicator capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
5. Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
6. Customer-focused professional with experience in client-facing roles.
Technical Requirements and Experience
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
2. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling software.
3. Strong technical information gathering and analysis skills.
4. Excellent PC literacy and overall ICT skills.
5. Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies and techniques.
6. Experience in bid management and customer-facing roles.
7. Knowledge of working with cross-functional teams and personnel at all levels.
8. Understanding of ATC environment (desirable but not essential).
9. Experience in project-based personnel management.
10. Internet proficient with cyber security awareness.
