Role The Opto-Mechanical Operations Engineer will be responsible for integrating optical and microwave instruments within the Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) department. Working in ISO7 and ISO5 clean room environments and workshops, this role focuses on mechanical integration, test setup, and the manufacturing of mechanical tools. Responsibilities Perform mechanical integration of subsystems and instruments, ensuring compliance with technical specifications. Set up and integrate test setups for optical and microwave instruments. Execute gluing and fitting operations according to established procedures. Manufacture mechanical parts and tools using turning and milling techniques. Document processes, including As Run reports and gluing/wiring procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and testing of optical systems. Required Experience Previous experience in opto-mechanical integration within aerospace or related industries. Familiarity with CAD models and work order systems. Experience working in clean room environments (ISO7 and ISO5). Mandatory certifications: Crane license, chemical risks, and electrical risks. Knowledge of optical space systems is highly desirable. Required Skills Strong understanding of mechanical integration processes and optical systems. Proficiency in mechanical manufacturing techniques, including turning and milling. Competence in precision fitting and gluing procedures. Familiarity with wiring competencies related to optical and microwave instruments.
