Job details : Job: Project Manager Infrastructure Location: Rugby Central CV 23 2-3 times a week Type: Fixed term contract 6 months rolling extensions note : we are looking for someone fromnetworks and servers / infrastructure Job Overview: The Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of infrastructure projects from initiation to completion. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to coordinate with various stakeholders, ensure project objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline constraints, and to drive project success. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Initiation: Lead project initiation activities, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, progress, and issues. Address stakeholder concerns and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Team Leadership and Coordination: Build and lead a multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants. Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and provide guidance to team members. Foster a collaborative team environment to promote creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Budget and Resource Management: Develop project budgets and track expenditures throughout the project lifecycle. Optimize resource utilization and manage project staffing needs. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve project efficiency without compromising quality. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Establish quality standards and ensure adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and address issues proactively. Implement corrective actions to resolve deviations from project specifications. Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Monitor project risks and issues and develop risk mitigation and issue resolution plans. Escalate critical issues to senior management and stakeholders as needed. Implement contingency plans to minimize project disruptions and delays. Project Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and change orders. Generate regular status reports and presentations for project stakeholders. Analyze project performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; master's degree preferred. Proven experience (5 years) in project management, with a focus on infrastructure projects. PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
