About Us: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team to support and enhance the university’s financial management. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial strategy of a world-class academic institution.
Role Overview: The Financial Analyst will provide key financial insights, support budget planning, and help ensure the efficient and effective management of the university's financial resources. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments and contribute to long-term financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for various departments within the university.
* Assist in the development of financial models to support strategic initiatives.
* Monitor spending and track financial performance against budgetary guidelines.
* Conduct detailed analysis on revenue streams, expenses, and trends to provide actionable insights to senior management.
* Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with department heads and academic units to advise on financial matters.
* Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and documentation for board meetings and audits.
* Maintain accurate financial data and ensure compliance with university policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
* Proven experience in financial analysis or a similar role, preferably within the education or non-profit sector.
* Strong proficiency with financial software (e.g., Excel, financial modelling tools, ERP systems).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Knowledge of university finance policies and budgeting procedures is a plus.
