We are excited to be recruiting for a full time qualified Counsellor to work in our supportive team here at Hyndburn & Rossendale. You will join our Talking Therapies team offering one to one, telephone and online therapy. We are open to flexible and hybrid working requests.
The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic team of PWPs, Counsellors and CBT therapists who work collaboratively to deliver the best service and outcomes for clients. Health and wellbeing of staff along with investing in our team is important to us. You will receive regular supervision and will also have the opportunity to attend suitable training events to support your professional development.
For those qualified Counsellors who have not yet completed the PCE-CFD or another NHSE recommended Talking Therapies training, we will support completion of this qualification when Health Education England (HEE) make training places available.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide high quality primary care (IAPT and counselling) services to adults with mild to moderate mental health problems.
2. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of team policies and procedure.
3. To deliver NHS Talking Therapies Counselling services in accordance with NICE guidelines, within agreed activity levels and model, meeting required key performance indicators (KPIs).
4. To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.
5. To work flexibly and in accordance with service demands.
6. To work to the agreed number of clinical contacts per week as set by the Team Lead.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited Diploma (or evidence of BACP 'Certificate of Proficiency' if Diploma was not BACP accredited).
* Hold Registered status with BACP.
* Evidence of working towards British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Accreditation (to be achieved within 12 months of taking up the post).
Knowledge
* Knowledge of NHS structures and policy within a primary care context.
* Good record of Continuing Professional Development and willingness to continue this.
Experience
* Experience of psychological work with common mental health issues.
* Experience of short term time-limited work.
* Experience of promoting wellbeing and social inclusion.
