Within Learning Disability Day Services, we support adults with a learning disability who may also have complex needs to access a wide range of day time opportunities, which may be work, volunteering, educational or leisure based. We offer person-centred support to maximise potential, increase independence and achieve wellbeing outcomes.
About the role
Pay Details: Grade 4 Spinal Point 5-7 (£23,500 – 24,294)
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 30 hours Monday-Friday
Main Place of Work: Woodlands and Trysor O’Le
Temporary Reason: Permanent
Description: You will support individuals with a learning disability who may also have complex needs, to participate in meaningful day opportunities in the community and at the service base, to enable them to achieve their wellbeing
outcomes. This will involve driving duties, to safely transport individuals to activities, as per their person-centered plans. You will be required to attend to the personal care and health needs of individuals. You will also maintain records and help to compile reports.
About you
• Experience of working with Adults with Learning Disabilities
• Experience of driving large vehicles, with a willingness to drive wheelchair adapted
vehicles, when required
• Experience of meeting individuals’ personal care needs
• Good general standard of education
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Reliable, flexible and sensitive
