Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, South Parks Road, Oxford This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the University of Oxford as an Apprentice Services Technician working at the cutting edge of medical science and development. As well as preparing for and assisting with termly practical medical classes you will be working in the Services Team with 6 other members of staff. Your other duties will include autoclaving, media preparation, and sterilisation of lab equipment and the use of various machines. You will be supporting 34 research labs as well as the classes in our Medical Sciences Teaching Centre. As part of the apprenticeship, full training will be provided About the Apprenticeship As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship with CSR Scientific Training, where you will complete a two-year level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship standard, leading to either BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Applied Science or a Level 4 HNC depending on your previous academic attainment. For this apprenticeship, you will work at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology in Oxford. As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to attend weekly online lectures with CSR Scientific Training. In total, it will take 2 years to complete all elements of the apprenticeship, with support from the Department, University, and College throughout.
