We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the theatres team as a housekeeper.
Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Staff, the post holder will participate as an integral member of the departmental team, undertaking general housekeeping duties, including some direct patient contact, to help provide a quality service.
You must have an eye for detail and a desire to provide a pleasant and safe environment for our patients, the successful candidates will have a positive and caring attitude and be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the service.

• Ensure that cleanliness is maintained within all areas of the department and to undertake necessary general domestic work.
• Understand the importance of infection control, undertaking any training as necessary
• Keep all public and clinical areas clean and tidy to expected standard as required in the department cleaning audit framework
• Keep all storage areas clean and neat and promote a safe working environmen
• Liaise with department cleaner to identify any additional cleaning requirements within the department and participate in the cleaning audit process
• Check linen allocation daily, report any problems to the Theatre Coordinator and liaise with the linen room to rectify problems.
• Ensure dirty linen is bagged and disposed of correctly
• Undertake Fire Safety Training and orientate staff in the whereabouts of fire exits and fire extinguishers
• To collect and deliver within the hospital any items that are required for the department eg. CSSD, loading bay, wards, pharmacy
