My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Compound Operative to join their team.
Compound Operative Requirements:
1. Forklift Truck Licence
2. Forklift Truck experience
3. Numeracy Skills
4. Ability to follow Manufacturing Instructions
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing and maintaining PPE
7. A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality
8. Flexible approach to working
9. Good understanding of sampling and product testing
Compound Operative Duties:
1. Maintain Housekeeping Standards in all areas of Plant / Yards / Compound
2. Assist and support in carrying out stock take as directed by the Production Supervisor of all Raw Materials required for Production Bulk Storage, Drums etc
3. Offloading of delivery Tankers
4. Loading of collection Tankers
5. Stocktake Gaff Bags to maintain pre-set stock levels as directed by the Production Supervisors that shortages may be ordered, and levels maintained
6. Monitor and keep in good order spill kit stations and grit boxes around the site
7. General upkeep and housekeeping of all yard / compound areas
8. Check heating plan and ensure materials are pre-heated for Production
9. Participate in the labelling and stock management of IBCs in the compound
10. Participate in the Solvent recovery programme and its subsequent labelling
11. Assist and support when required in process and operational activities associated with batch filtration
12. Assist and support when required in filtering products according to details and instructions stated on the formulation batch sheet and specification, and to report in writing any deviations from these procedures immediately to your supervisor
13. Assist with any ad hoc production duties on the plant
14. Cover for Jobs in Production areas as required by Production Supervisor
15. Carry out additional duties not yet listed above and assist where required
