Job Purpose:
This role is an exciting opportunity to join the 1 Unilever Execution Team, leading the channel agenda across our four Business Units. A leadership role, tasked with strategically identifying where & how to play across discounters, convenience, and other emerging channels to drive long-term, sustainable growth. In parallel, you will own the external category management relationship with key customers (9+), building plans that deliver mutual growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Be the non-commercial business partner of the Value Channel Director.
2. Lead the delivery of Category Management across non-traditional channels, including but not limited to the Discount Channel and Convenience to set Unilever apart from our competitors.
3. Proactive analysis and interpretation of multiple customer and shopper data sources, leveraging trends/foresight to determine where to prioritize resources for greatest impact.
4. Line-manage and lead development of the team – category executive and apprentice.
5. Build collaborative, independent & multi-level relationships with key retailer stakeholders (category directors, buyers, senior buyers, merchandisers) to become a trusted partner in specified channels.
6. Build a network of relationships internally with primary stakeholders (Account Teams, Marketing, Commercial Strategy, and Category Management) to deliver Price Pack Architectures within our categories that work for channels and the wider market.
7. Identify shopper marketing opportunities in channels and pitch internally for funds and resources to deliver executional excellence.
