Working as a Management Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller based in Hove, you will be responsible for production and co-ordination of monthly entity management accounts and supporting the wider finance team. Supporting the business in maximizing profitability and efficiency realisation. Duties and Responsibilities Production of monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) mainly using Sage Intact along with a number of legacy systems. Co-ordination of management accounting at other group locations in order to meet monthly timetables. Balance sheet reconciliations e.g. fixed assets, prepayments and accruals. Processing month end journals e.g. prepayments, accruals and depreciation. Assist in creating strategic business plans and forecasts. Liaise with auditors and support internal audits. Monitor financial performance and report findings to management. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial procedures. Other ad hoc tasks within the finance team. Person Specification Qualifications ACCA/CIMA part qualified, although QBE may be considered. Advanced Excel skills, Microsoft Office (essential) and Sage Intact (preferable). Knowledge and experience Excellent technical accounting knowledge and strong stakeholder management skills. Experience within a changing and fast-moving finance team. Good understanding of management accounting principles and reconciliations. Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly and respond to moving deadlines. Attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to engage both face-to-face and remotely with people across the business. Ability to translate complex data into easy to understand messages. Process orientated and always show meticulous attention to detail.
