Housing Projects Manager 37 hours per week, 2 year Fixed Term Contract £43,693 - £47,754 per annum It’s an exciting time to join the Housing team at Wychavon District Council In this newly created post as a Housing Projects Manager, you will lead on a portfolio of projects which deliver against the Council’s Promises and Service Delivery Plans across the Housing Service for Wychavon District Council. In this role you will apply expert project management methodologies to develop and project manage a range of capital and other projects including procurement, contract management and performance monitoring of services, ensuring targets and objectives are met, and risks effectively managed. You will also lead on the coordination, collation and reporting of performance and financial management information to monitor progress against project plans and expected outcomes. The post will also work with a variety of stakeholders to undertake a range of partnership and consultation activities for the Housing Service. This will include liaising with internal and external partners, attendance at working parties, liaison meetings, and committee meetings, providing procedural, legislative and policy advice as required. Great communication skills and an ability to engage with a range of stakeholders is therefore essential along with a commitment to delivering an outstanding service to all our customers. About you The successful candidate will: Hold an advanced level Project Management qualification or have the equivalent demonstrable experience A sound understanding of local authority’s housing responsibilities and current housing policy Substantial experience of strategy and policy development and delivery of actions Substantial experience of effective project management and delivery of outcomes in a timely way Substantial experience of project budget management Experience of presenting findings through reports and/or presentations and developing associated projects to a range of audiences, including Councillors, Senior Leaders and Partner organisations. Experience of undertaking consultation activity with a range of partners and about a range of topics Be approachable, and a team player working across all areas of Housing to deliver positive outcomes for our customers.
