Role Summary:
To provide a leading Occupational Health Physiotherapy Service to clients with the aim of early return to work. This involves a positive bio-psychosocial approach combining functional assessment with evidence-based treatment which is underpinned with excellent clinical care. The role will provide the following services on a remote basis; triage phone calls, supported self-management, functional restoration programmes, DSE & Workplace assessments.
The post holder must be able to cover on-site working two days a week 1pm until 9pm, and the rest of the days at home 9am-5pm. This may vary if part time. The post holder must hold a driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide accurate, detailed, and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees on a remote or face-to-face basis.
* Identify, assess, and advise on any workplace hazards or contributing factors to Musculoskeletal disorders.
* Conduct workplace assessments such as DSE or work-based tasks as and when required and provide advice and recommendations as appropriate.
* Always maintain clinical objectivity and impartiality in line with occupational health guidance.
* Deliver effective evidence-based rehabilitation that adheres to national clinical standards.
* Utilise a bio-psychosocial approach combined with functional assessment to address barriers to work and inform robust work recommendations.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required for the Role:
* Clinical Physiotherapy Qualification.
* Full Member of the CSP & Registered member of HCPC is essential.
* Post-graduate training in Occupational Health/Ergonomics.
* Previous experience or an interest in Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
* Experience of providing functional assessment and fitness for work advice.
* Driver license & access to a vehicle.
