Twyver, a specialist Switchgear and Critical Power Solutions provider with over 80 years of experience and part of the Vinci Energies Group (€13 billion), is looking to recruit a Test Engineer. The role involves testing and documenting a range of LV Switchgear panels and components, hosting factory acceptance tests with clients, and diagnosing any problems that might arise with the panels. Additionally, the role includes assisting with engineering, commissioning, and building of the panels.

The Role
* Produce associated documentation with the testing of the panel in detail.
* Use test equipment such as a dielectric tester, multi-meter, IR tester, etc.
* Maintain safe working practices and always adhere to quality control & safety procedures.
* Travel to sites to diagnose and fix issues with panels.
* Build good customer relationships and confidently demonstrate testing in the presence of the end customer.
* Accurately read and interpret electrical drawings and instructions, both written and verbal (from the supervisor and other team members), to assemble components and build and wire panels within specified timescales.
* Carry out testing and inspection on finished Switchgear panels both on the shop floor and at customer premises in line with approved standards and customer requirements.
* Be able to send a panel to site with 100% confidence that it fits within specification and functions as stated.
* Perform and host Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests in the presence of end customers.
* Actively improve (through feedback to the supervisor) quality control processes and test procedures.
* Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
The Person
* NVQ level 3 in Electrical Engineering or several years of experience within the LV Switchgear industry is essential.
* Preference will be given to candidates with experience in LV Switchgear testing.
* A qualified Electrician with a current ECS card.
* Driving Licence.
* Positive 'can do' attitude with good attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to flexibly and proactively manage changing priorities and work to tight timescales.
* Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills; must be able to communicate at all levels.
* Able to work extended and/or unsocial hours to meet the full requirements of the role.
