Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Menstrie, Clackmannanshire for an experienced Senior Planner / Team Leader who will be responsible for ensuring efficient working methods and procedures within the planning team.
This client is a fast-paced production facility, experiencing substantial growth.
The Person:
* Business Degree / or CIPS / Part Qualified
* Strong professional experience in planning - preferably in Food/Drink Industry
* SAP Experience preferred, or experience in capacity planning in ERP systems
* Strong communication skills & excellent analytical skills required
* This role will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will have some direct reports; previous managing people experience would be preferred
* This individual will be required to work closely with Production and other functions to ensure the KPIs are met
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessing team performance and adjusting processes
* Coaching and guiding team members
* Managing key issues and preparing KPI reports
* Collaborating with other departments, optimizing production capacity, monitoring product availability, and participating in cross-functional projects
The Role:
* Responsible for efficient working methods and procedures
* Assess performances, adjust, instruct, and educate (coach and guide)
* Responsible for KPI reports (Daily tracker, OTIF, Inventory)
* Pilot the planning team to reach excellence in service
* Support the Supply Planner to have the right MTS/MTO strategy and correct SS in place
* Identify problems, set priorities, and coordinate with scheduling, material call-off, transport, and customer care
* Compose overviews in relation to actual orders and production orders
* Make proposals and prepare concrete plans to utilize production capacity optimally
* Monitor/manage the availability of products in the middle to long term
* Support calls with internal & external customers when required
* Work with the demand planning team to improve forecast accuracy and with external sites to ensure forecasts are flowing through the system
* Collect, organize, and analyze the orders, production, and supply information
* Inform production about the capacity plan
* Coordinate orders between customer care and production including optimization of delivery dates
* Work with the Logistic Manager to ensure timely deliveries and no issues on WH space/workload
* Compose various overviews and provide explanations
* Analyze and explain deviations
* Develop and optimize planning processes and parameters
* Set up planning parameters for new products
* Participate in bi-weekly NPI meetings and cross-functional projects
This role will be working Monday - Friday standard hours - No Hybrid working.
