Our client is a prominent UK-based law firm known for human rights, employment, personal injury, and environmental law. They are looking for a dynamic and experienced Litigation Executive to support their personal injury team. The role requires a blend of legal, administrative, and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality support to the team.
Working directly with the Partner specialising in personal injury, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive support throughout all stages of litigation. The role involves managing case files, preparing legal documents, dictation, conducting research and liaising with clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of personal injury law, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
This is a full-time, on-site role, with an expectation of five days per week in their London office.
The Role:
1. Managing a wide variety of administrative tasks including typing transcripts of meetings, producing documents from dictation and drafting legal letters and documents.
2. Conducting thorough research including word searches, historical records and attending in-house seminars to keep up to date with industry trends.
3. Scheduling and coordinating meetings ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared ahead of the meetings.
4. Organising and maintaining physical and electronic bundles, making sure all case materials are updated and easily accessible.
5. Demonstrating discretion in handling sensitive clients and cases.
6. Assisting with billing, invoicing, processing client payments and managing expense reports as required.
7. Any other related ad hoc tasks assigned by the Partner.
To Qualify:
1. Bachelor’s degree in law with a minimum of two years of experience in a legal environment, ideally within the same area of specialisation.
2. Experience supporting a Partner or Senior Attorney is highly desirable.
3. Proficient in using a variety of IT software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Case Management Systems.
4. Above average typing speed of approximately 80-90 wpm.
5. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. No two days are the same.
