Position: Behavioural Support Assistant
Type: Full Time, Temporary
Hours: 08:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £420 - £445 per week
Start Date: Monday 24TH February 2025
The School and Role: This specialist education and care service caters for young people aged 7-15 years with a range of needs, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, complex needs such as attachment disorders, trauma or anxiety, high functioning autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), pathological demand avoidance (PDA) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Based in Sheffield, this school specializes in the education of students who have education health care plans for SEMH or have been permanently or temporarily excluded from mainstream school due to disengagement from education. The school provides a calm and supportive environment for students to develop and learn safely.
Requirements: The desired Behavioural Support Assistant will have:
1. Experience of working with primary and secondary school-aged children.
2. Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
3. A passion for the progress of pupils.
4. An ability to work as part of a team.
5. A driver’s licence, car, and business insurance.
6. Experience working with behaviours that challenge.
7. Team Teach – Level 2 is desirable; we offer this course free of charge.
