About the Role
Connex Education is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Nottingham. We're particularly interested in individuals with experience in support work or caring roles who are looking to transition into education.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with various special educational needs in a nurturing environment
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans
Collaborate with teachers to create engaging learning materials
Provide personal care and support where necessary
Help manage challenging behaviours using positive reinforcement techniques
Person Specification
Experience in a support worker or carer role (desirable)
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with children and young people
Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Willingness to learn and develop new skills in an educational setting
