We’re on the hunt for a talented Senior Business Development Executive to join our London South team based in Stevenage. The team provide risk solutions to National clients typically requiring bespoke insurance programmes and associated risk management and risk transfer services. As well as insurance broking, we provide clients with a claims service and advice on risk management across most industries.
So, what does the role of a Senior Business Development Executive here involve?
Main Accountabilities include:
1. Establish contact and develop relationships at the highest level within the client’s company, for the main prospects in the area.
2. Develop an understanding and appreciation of the prospect’s business in relation to what they do, and the pressure met within that industry sector.
3. Establish the client’s needs and be able to articulate risk management solutions for those needs in a professional way, utilising sector knowledge where available, such that we become the logical alternative to the incumbent broker.
4. Using information for similar sector clients and knowledge of their business, establish revenue basis and a proposal intended to provide a profitable return.
5. Sell from across the full range of services to develop revenue streams and to build trust in services.
What experience do our Business Development Executives need?
1. Sales experience essential – preferable in new business.
2. Insurance experience.
3. Professional style – ability to impact and impress in 1:1 prospect meeting.
4. General business awareness.
5. Results focused.
6. IT literate with experience using databases.
