Job summary
This exciting opportunity is available with our Weston, Worle & Villages community team.
You will be responsible for supporting new clinicians through Induction and support them with their relevant competences/assessments for their role.
You will also be supporting our new recruits and any existing staff with shadowing opportunities to support their development.
As part of the Sirona Learning & Development we are responsible for ensuring that our staff and managers receive high quality personal and professional development, enabling us to have a fully competent and capable workforce providing outstanding services and care.
This is a part time role for 34 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Ensure that new recruits in the locality have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to be fully effective in their roles, and are able to deliver a safe, effective and caring service.
To lead the induction process for new recruits into the team, co-ordinating competency education and assessments.
To provide clinical and educational support to new recruits and existing staff requiring extra support.
To provide leadership to new recruits
To work in partnership with the Learning and development Partners to maintain competency and continuous professional development of self and wider South Gloucestershire INT's
To support line managers working with staff development.
Does not carry own caseload but will provide support to staff where further guidance.
To maintain accurate, timely written and computerised documentation in line with professional guidelines and legal requirements.
To evaluate and risk assess all aspects of community work and to minimise the risk to self, patients, and carers whilst delivering care

Qualifications
Essential
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent with NMC registration
2. Evidence of continuous professional development to post graduate level
3. Recent teaching or training experience
4. Excellent communication skills

5. A recognised assessor/mentor qualification of evidence of working towards this.
Experience

6. Knowledge and engagement in the IEN OSCE process
7. Experience within community clinical role
8. Excellent communication skills including concise and accurate documentation
9. Experience of team working and working without direct supervision
10. Able to work autonomously, demonstrating good organisational skills and personal effectiveness.

11. International Educated Nurse
12. Has Undertaken OSCE within the last 24 months
