Why Rolls-Royce?
An exciting opportunity has risen for a 12-month maternity cover secondment, for a Finance Business Partner in Future Programmes and Engineering Function based at Raynesway. The role will report directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner Future Programmes and Engineering Function.
You will be working with the Senior Finance Business Partner supporting the Heads of Programmes to ensure that business meets its financial obligations and supports the embedment of the new Unity contract.
What you'll be doing:
The role will also require you to work closely with the Engineering Director and his first line regarding Engineering resourcing, load/capacity across the business and support business cases for the Engineering function.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Providing financial leadership to the senior management team
2. Contributing to key decision making and implementing changes to ensure that key financial commitments are met
3. Having a strong understanding and promoting good cost control of the new Unity contract across Future Programmes and the Engineering Function
4. Producing business forecasts that are balanced, challenging and supported by coherent assumptions
5. The financial evaluation of Business Evaluation forms and providing support to the Senior Finance Business Partner regarding new business bids
6. Interface with the customer through provision of cost forecasts, agreement of payment plans and other performance reviews
7. Liaise with statutory auditors
8. Responsibility for Future Programmes Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet control and fidelity, pre review and sign off by the Senior Finance Business Partner
9. Promotion of financial awareness within the business
10. Building and maintaining relationships with senior managers
11. Develop a continuous improvement culture within the business, championing compliance and the sustainment of good quality data.
Who we're looking for:
1. Qualified accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA.
2. Good understanding of business strategy and external environment
3. Experienced in interfacing with the customer
4. Extensive knowledge of business risk management and long-term contract trading
5. Demonstrate strong communication skills
6. Ability to negotiate and be confident in doing so

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
