We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate teacher to deliver the teaching of ICT & Computing from Key Stages 3 to 5. This role is ideal for either an experienced teacher seeking a new opportunity or an ECT looking to start their career in a supportive environment. The ICT and Computing department at Hampton College is committed to innovative practice and a love of learning.
Students have two lessons per fortnight in years 7, 8 and 9, covering a range of topics that will help to develop their computer science skills. E-safety, data modelling, programming, networks, data representation and algorithms are just some of the exciting units of work the department has developed. We are looking for someone who can inspire our students and promote a love for the subject both in and out of the classroom.
The computer science department at Hampton college is a forward-thinking team which tries to incorporate core knowledge with new technologies including the use of raspberry pi computers, micro: Bit for learning programming in different contexts. Students are offered the opportunity to take OCR GCSE Computer Science from year 10 and continue this study in to A-Level.
