The post holder will work within the multi-disciplinary teams providing and further developing elective and emergency care for ophthalmology patients within the general and subspecialty services, focusing on the provision and development of the glaucoma service to King's patients. Main duties of the job This positions is a full time, clinical post, based at King's College Hospital's Queen Mary's Hospital (QMS) site, Sidcup; though potentially this role could be required to work at any of King's sites as appropriate. The main remit of this post is to provide specialist Consultant leadership, expertise and support to the medical retina services provided at King's College Hospital. The post holder will develop and provide comprehensive medical retina services, mainly dealing with diabetic retinopathy, ARMD and vein occlusions and also uveitis. They will oversee the fast track service for AMD and the anti-VEGF service. There will be commitment to developing community based medical retina services for patients with stable retinal disease, with involvement in training, supervision and virtual case review.
